Transforming grid challenges into sustainable AI workloads
Project Ohm is building a decentralised, energy-aware high-performance computing platform designed to transform surplus renewable energy into sustainable AI and machine learning services.
Our system dynamically orchestrates containerised modular-data centres through a central intelligent controller, enabling customers to reserve compute capacity aligned with their workload needs, budget and ESG objectives.
Our Vision
To pioneer a new class of ultra-sustainable AI computing that transforms how the world powers the future of intelligence.
Flexible, scalable, plug and play high performance compute (HPC) for AI workloads
The Impact
Project Ohm addresses a critical global need by aligning AI infrastructure growth with the renewable energy transition. By leveraging stranded renewable energy, we reduce carbon emissions, increase grid stability, and provide a highly cost-effective alternative to fossil-fuel-tied centralised data centres.

XENON is an Australian pioneer in High Performance Computing, AI & Deep Learning, High Frequency Trading and Data Management. Established in 1996, XENON has been solving complex IT problems for over two decades by working with customers in a spirit of partnership and discovery, developing solutions beyond the
bounds of the expected.
We recognise the innovative approach Project Ohm is taking to address the dual challenges of increasing computational demand and constrained energy infrastructure—particularly through the intelligent use of stranded renewable energy near substations. We believe this approach has strong potential to provide scalable,
environmentally responsible solutions for future HPC needs.

The Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre is one of two Tier-1 High-Performance Computing facilities in Australia, and operates Setonix, one of the most energy efficient supercomputers in the world, with a mission to accelerate scientific research for the
benefit of the nation.
As part of our commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability, we are pleased to provide support for Project Ohm, an initiative that aims to develop sustainable, energy-aware high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure through decentralised edge computing nodes.

XCircle designs and proudly manufactures in Western Australia modular, rapidly deployable data centres that can be installed at the distribution-grid edge, including utility substations and renewable generation sites.
Project Ohm’s proposal—to site AI compute nodes next to stranded renewable generation and orchestrate workloads in response to real-time network congestion and wholesale price signals—closely aligns with XCircle’s product roadmap

We are pleased to express our interest in exploring potential collaboration opportunities with Project Ohm. As a leading initiative in sustainable AI infrastructure, Project Ohm's mission to
leverage stranded renewable energy for decentralised, energy-aware high-performance computing aligns with our commitment to advancing responsible AI development.
At Bloom and LaunchLab AI, we are dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the AI sector. Our programs support the growth of AI-driven startups, emphasising the
importance of scalable, sovereign and sustainable solutions. Our startups have indicated and we recognise the critical role that energy-efficient, affordable and sovereign computing plays in
the future of AI and are enthusiastic about the prospects of having such services available to AI startups.

We're Hiring!
AI’s energy appetite is exploding just as renewable power is being curtailed and wasted. Project Ohm flips that equation: we run high-performance AI workloads next to stranded clean energy that would otherwise go unused. Our orchestration platform dynamically schedules GPU jobs to follow real-time price and renewable availability—cutting costs and emissions at scale.
Backed by Australian and international investors and selected to represent Australia at the 2025 UN AI for Good Summit, we’re now hiring the brainpower to build the optimisation engine at the heart of our vision.
